About - Above & Beyond Embroidery

Introduction

I have always had a love of sewing, back in high school I couldn’t afford brand name items so I would go into a shop measure the item on my arm and go home and make it. I’d spend school holidays at my grandparents and learnt to sew on Nannas old treadmill sewing machine on the veranda and pops industrial machines in the shed. I guess it’s in my blood. I always wanted to have my own business, I got to a point, I found myself as a single mum with 3 young kids and both hands injured working for somebody else. I was told I was unemployable. My pop, worked as an upholster for many years, with only the use of one arm. So I said to myself “She’ll be right Mate” and I gave it a go. Almost 15 years later, I’m so glad I gave it a go, not many people get to do what they love doing every single day.

Fantastic work! Did all my cafe signs and stickers and embroidery for uniforms .Was a quick and very reasonably priced work.Definitely recommend for work wear and tshirt logos and everything down to a patch work on your pants. Or if you have trex arms like me and need all your sleeves shortened ..Owner even custom made my bridesmaids dresses!!

Thank you Mel! No one else would touch our logos, they were too considered too complexed. Not only did Mel consider them, she made many samples until they were perfect!
